We can help. Good for Essex has one simple aim – to help organisations such as yours find and recruit willing volunteers. This website is a ‘one stop shop’ for promoting volunteering opportunities in Essex and getting people to use their skills and energy to help their community.
How it works...
Firstly, you need to register your organisation and volunteering opportunities with your nearest volunteer centre. The opportunities you register will appear on this website, as well as being discussed with potential volunteers who get in touch with volunteer centres.
Opportunities will be matched to and seen by volunteers who are interested in helping with your type of opportunity and/or have the skills that you need. Registering your opportunities means you are immediately gaining access to a number of potential volunteers. It may be that you need someone to help you answer the phone for an hour a week or you require assistance with transport, it could even be that you need help with social media or need someone hands -on to help decorate your organisation’s offices. Volunteers in Essex really want to help you whether they have a little or a lot of time to give.
